Outdoor Programme for Young People

Outdoor Programme for Young People

Do you know about Venture Scotland? This is an outdoors based personal development project for young people aged 16-30, who are finding life difficult to cope with for any reason at all. Venture Scotland work with any young people who are ready to change but need help to move on from things like offending, drugs, alcohol, mental health issues, isolation, discrimination, long-term unemployment or homelessness, etc.

The core of Venture Scotland’s work is a 12 month programme called the Journey, which helps young people find skills and build self-confidence to make a lasting change to their lives. This involves an outdoor programme of weekly challenging activities and fun residential experiences at their bothy in Glen Etive, backed up with continuous one to one support.

Venture Scotland have open places on their next ‘Journey to Change’, and are currently accepting referrals. The course starts on 4 October.
