These online services include our website, nominated event booking websites (including Eventbrite) and social media channels. Health in Mind

Health in Mind is a registered Scottish charity (no. SC004128) promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in Scotland since 1982. All of our services aim to support people who experience mental health difficulties and their carers to achieve a positive quality of life. How do we collect information?

When you use our online services, you have the option to sign-up to receive e-newsletters, contact us about services, refer someone to one of our services, apply to work or volunteer with us, enquire about training, order products, make a donation, participate in research and contact us about related issues. Please note that we are unable to take responsibility for the privacy of your personal information until it reaches Health in Mind.

What information do we collect?

We may collect your name, address, email address, date of birth, phone number and other information you provide voluntarily. If you donate to us online, your payment card information will be processed by a specialist online payment provider.

How will we use the information about you?

Your personal information will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Health in Mind’s data protection policies. With your consent, we may use your personal information to:

• send you information about fundraising activities
• link you with one or more of our services
• process a donation
• process an application for paid or voluntary work
• deliver training services or events
• perform work according to a contract between us
• seek your views on our services and mental health issues
• inform you about the impact we are making with your help

You can choose to opt out at any time by contacting us. We may need to retain some personal information in accordance with the law including, but not limited to, financial and legal documents.

Sharing your information

We will never sell your personal information to another organisation. Health in Mind works with partner and statutory organisations and we may need to share some of your personal information with them, so that they can provide products and services to you. All partner organisations we work with adhere to a privacy policy. You can ask us not to share your personal information, but this may mean they are not able to provide you with products and services.  We may need to share your personal information with a government or regulatory body in accordance with the law, for example in relation to a complaint or incident.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us. We may make a small charge for this service.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
