lcilLothian Centre for Inclusive Living (LCiL) supports disabled people, people with long-term conditions, and older people to live independently in their communities.

LCIL can help with independent living, personal assistants, SDS and more. As well as information and advice, LCIL also provides training courses.

 

Independent Living Support

Information and one-to-one advice is offered to help people  arrange and manage their own self-directed support package. The service can help people to:

  • Identify and express their needs.
  • Prepare for a local authority assessment.
  • Liaise with local authorities and other appropriate organisations.
  • Contact with an agency.
  • Recruit and manage personal assistants.
  • Help with any other related queries.

 

Payroll Service

For people who employ their own personal assistant (PA), they payroll service can help you with the processing of their wages and related administration such as dealing with the PA timesheets, tax, national insurance and many other related administration issues.

Free courses and one to one support for disabled adults and people with long term conditions living in the Lothians.

 

Access to Work

Access to Work is a UK Government programme that can provide support to disabled people to start or maintain employment, and to employers so that they fulfil their responsibilities.

LCiL provides information and advice about Access to Work to disabled people, people with long term conditions, employers and employment support organisations, in Lothian Region.
