Neil’s Hugs Foundation Services

Neil’s Hugs Foundation provides crisis support to families and friends bereaved by suicide and offer support to those who are supporting someone who is currently experiencing suicidal ideation.

Service Description

The Neil’s Hugs Foundation support people that are affected by either the completed or attempted suicide of someone they know. The team do this in a range of way from:

  • support groups
  • signposting to appropriate agencies
  • identifying qualified counsellors and multi-agency/organisations
  • cooperative initiatives.

The team are contactable by texts, messenger, phone calls and provide one-to-one and face to face support. The support groups to ensure people have way’s they feel comfortable engaging and connecting.

The weekly peer support groups are for people who have lost someone to suicide

There are weekly peer support groups for men and women who are currently experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues and conditions, and who are struggling with day to day life. This early intervention and prevention support also includes one-to-one support when required.
