Open Door Accommodation Project (ODAP)
The Emergency Hostel is for young people aged 16-21, and provides a safe place where they can stay for up to 8 weeks whilst they look for alternative suitable accommodation. At the Hostel the young person will be allocated a named key-worker who will work with them offering advice, information, move-one options etc. All meals are provided and the hostel has a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
The Supported Flats service provides supported accommodation, living within the community. This service is available to 16-21 year olds. The young person will be allocated a support worker who will help them with access to employment, training, or education, filling out housing applications, helping with budgeting etc.
The Tenancy Support service works with 16-25 year olds living in their own tenancies. A support worker will visit with the young person weekly providing practical support such as help with shopping, cooking, budgeting etc as well as offering advice and information for accessing employment, training, education, childcare services etc. The services aims to provide personal and practical support that will help young people to develop the confidence and skills needed to live independently.
Applicants for this service should also meet this condition:
The service is available for young people aged from 16 to 25, who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
This service accepts direct self referrals.
Social work referrals also accepted.
