Team Jak Foundation
The purpose of Team Jak is to ease the fear, confusion and loneliness of a cancer diagnosis or bereavement and ensure no-one feels isolated or alone, by providing practical, social and emotional support to children and young people with cancer and related illnesses age 0-25, their families, friends and those bereaved of a child from cancer or children bereaved of someone from cancer.
We offer counselling and one-to-one support for children and young people, siblings and parents, drop-in sessions, music, play and alternative therapies from Jak’s Den- our purpose built haven for our families; and outreach to the hospitals and at home for those unable to attend.
Intended Client Groups:
- Children and young people with cancer
This service accepts direct self referrals.
