West Lothian Council, Adult Learning
Adult Learning run a range of classes and learning opportunities for adults. Groups are run by trained tutors with some support from volunteers.
The aim of the service is to provide learning that builds skills and confidence in everyday activities. In particular, this focuses on
- Digital learning
- English for Speakers of other Languages
- Family Learning
- Financial Learning
- Health and Wellbeing
- Literacy and Numeracy.
Our groups can be a way for adults to get back into learning in an informal and relaxed way. Some courses, include options to gain basic qualifications.
Groups are based in community settings across West Lothian both during the day and in the evening.
Wheelchair accessible. Crèche sometime available. We welcome learners with dyslexia and use accessibility tools to support learning.
Applicants for this service should also meet this condition:
Open to anyone 16+ who is no longer in full time education.
This service accepts direct self referrals.
This service is available by appointment only.
