West Lothian Council, Adult Learning
Adult Learning offers a range of quality learning opportunities for adults.
Groups are run across West Lothian by experienced tutors with support from volunteers. Adult Learning builds skills and confidence with everyday activities including:
- Reading – Writing – Spelling – Numbers
- Digital Skills
- English for Speakers of Other Languages
- Lip Reading
- Short courses
- Leisure Courses in Community Venues
Adult learning offers support for learners in friendly and informal ways, free of charge. Opportunities for learning are in local communities. Courses include options to gain basic qualifications and there is a wide range of choice to suit the needs of learners
Learners with dyslexia and use accessibility tools to support learning are welcomed. Groups are small and tutors are experienced and knowledgeable. Learners will find learning new skills with us is enjoyable and rewarding.

Applicants for this service should also meet this condition:
Open to anyone 16 years old and over who is no longer in full time education.
This service accepts direct self referrals.
