West Lothian Women’s Aid
West Lothian Women’s Aid (WLWA) provides confidential support to women and their families who are experiencing domestic abuse. This also includes women who have experienced domestic abuse in the past.
West Lothian Women’s Aid offers help make sure women and their children are safe from harm. This can include information, support and the chance to talk, as well as information about legal rights, housing options, and benefits advice.
Temporary refuge accommodation is available for those who need it. Support is also available for people who stay in their own homes. West Lothian’s Women’s Aid also support women and children after they have left the refuge accommodation through their follow-on support service to enable them to settle in and sustain their new tenancies.
The young people service offers specialised help to children even if their mother is not being supported by the organisation.
Applicants for this service should also meet this condition:
Women and children only, who have or are currently experiencing domestic abuse
This service accepts direct self referrals.
